About Me

A photo of Laura Holder, smiling, black hair, black female, wearing a black top.

I'm an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience working within the mental health field. My passion for mental health is a personal one, and goes beyond the therapy room as I am living with family members affected by mental health difficulties.

I am invested in making mental health a part of every day conversations. Within my clinical work, I encourage individuals to express their inner feelings, without fear of judgment or rejection.

I know not everyone is looking for answers to their problems - I'm a true believer that many of us have these already, and sometimes we just need a little guidance to find these. However, there is often a desire to feel validated, heard and understood.

My blog is a combination of personal thoughts, experiences and expertise, and was created with three principles in mind:

  • To provide education related to mental health

  • To equip you with self-help tools and/or exercises that empower you to overcome challenges

  • To create a space that encourages you to make desired changes that improve your overall health and wellbeing

Take the time to explore at your own pace, and in your own time.
